The main idea of this chapter is for us as teacher be aware the child development in order to create an artistic curriculum that is adequate yet that challenges the child. This chapter first starts of in explaining the child physiological and cognitive limitations, it gives us many theorists’ theories of the development of a child’s physical and cognitive behavior. We can learn by these theories more or less if the child is behind or advanced. The chapter goes on to explain that the child social, culture and environmental exposure will also influence in the child’s artistic development.
